Frequently asked questions
Services & Modalities

Yes, I have worked with countless pregnant women. I believe that the modalities I use support and deepen a woman’s experience from preconception through the birth of her child. For example, in working with a number of pregnant women, I realize the profound impact that Biodynamic Craniosacral work has on the relationship between the mom and her baby. In fact, I find that babies love it. Many moms report that the birthing process seems gentler.

Even in the “easiest” birth, an infant experiences stress or trauma. Working with babies, children and their families provides a way of exploring and resolving traumatic imprints, which have their origin in prenatal life and the birth process. Working with the baby within the context of the family system enables the process of identifying the origins of current stress patterns. This information is significant in resolving stress.

I have treated countless women with infertility issues. I believe that the modalities I use are a critical adjunct to anything else the patient is doing to facilitate pregnancy. It may be surprising what is held in the body (memories, tension, fear), which can impede the ability to get pregnant. Furthermore, therapeutic bodywork is an amazing way of allowing patients to relax, settle, revive and more gently embrace the process.
What to Expect
-
It is difficult to specify the number of sessions without first meeting. I want to have a clear sense of what you are looking for, as well as understand how your body is holding balance and health. I like to suggest that we commit to an initial four sessions. Then, together, we will explore our options.
-
Somatic Therapies do not hurt. Each modality can be gentle or subtle and, simultaneously, very profound. Some patients feel waves of energy, tingling, heat or a sense of chill. Sometimes the patient will experience a jerking sensation as their body releases shock. Some patients fall asleep, and others describe their experience as “traveling.”

Our first session is an intake session. If we are to work together, I will need to understand your goals, as well as which modalities you have experienced in the past, and for how long. I will ask a few other questions, and this is your opportunity to ask me questions as well. From there, we can decide if and when to schedule our first working session together.
After our initial intake session, a typical session begins with a short check-in and the setting of an intention. The session continues via a bodywork modality, with you lying down or sitting comfortably, and is held within a container of safe space. -
A session runs approximately 90 minutes. Typically, the first session, or intake, runs a bit longer in order to obtain a complete history and clarify your intention for coming.

I have been conducting remote sessions for 20 years. The principles of a virtual session are the same as that of an in-person session. When you slow down and become a neutral field, the two of us are able to enter a state of stillness together, called “coherence.” Whether I am in the same room or on a screen in front of you, I can perceive movement in the body. I will gently guide you through the process. Some patients actually prefer virtual sessions to meeting in person. It is a great option for babies because they do not need to be taken out of the home.
Sessions & Fees
-
The beauty of my work is that I can conduct effective sessions both in person or online (virtually). If you don’t live locally, I can arrange virtual sessions for you, regardless of where you live. I do have several patients who travel from out of state to work with me. I am certified to treat anyone, anywhere in the country.
-
My session rates vary depending on the individual and the need. Everyone deserves help, and I am here to work with you to determine the best treatment and payment plan for you. Please contact me to discuss this further.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I respectfully request at least 24 hours notice. If you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before it is scheduled to take place, you will be required to pay your full session fee.
