PRE AND PERINATAL THERAPY

Our conception has strong implications
for the trajectory of our lives.

Prenatal and Perinatal Therapy (PPN) is a fundamental component of my practice, offering a deep exploration of one’s beginnings. PPN reframes a patient’s relationship to early trauma patterns. The experience is life-affirming and a profound step toward manifesting change.

Our sense of self originates in the womb…

The experience of prenatal care highlights the journey of preconception, conception, discovery, gestation and the experience of birth itself. This journey embodies how to attune with your infant, creating the possibility of conscious parenting.

PPN sessions empower the patient to explore his/her personal stories of conception through birth. An understanding of this early time engages the practitioner to notice where current behaviors and ideas originate. The imprints serve as the foundation for behaviors, ideas and emotions that will recapitulate during one’s lifetime.

As an experienced practitioner, I support and work with patients to repattern early imprints. This intervention is essential for reframing both psychological, emotional, somatic and behavioral prenatal information. For a patient, this can result in being set free from “feeling stuck.”

I actively support women and their families during preconception, discovery, gestation and birth. I guide patients of all ages as they come into relationship with their early imprinting.

For Mothers & Families

When working with mothers and their families, I incorporate a blend of body-informed therapies, including Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST), trauma resolution, knowledge of midwifery and obstetrical practices (doula support), as well as neurobiology and embryology.

I offer corresponding support in family-related areas:

  • Fertility & Infertility

  • Conscious Parenting

  • Preconception

  • Prenatal Bonding, Education & Family Support

  • Postpartum Issues

  • Pediatric Craniosacral Therapy

  • Trauma as an Expression of Early Life Experience

Fertility, Pregnancy & Womb Repatterning

Fertility challenges are not simply medical issues. Prior trauma, parental and ancestral imprinting and somatic blocks do not necessarily show up in blood evaluations or pelvic ultrasounds. The body’s story may contribute to its infertility. Fortunately, we can work with how each of us holds the “story” in order to promote healing, well-being and a successful pregnancy.

For more than 25 years, I have supported countless women—and their families—to overcome personal infertility challenges and give birth to healthy children.

  • I have extensive expertise in assisted reproductive technology (ART), and I have learned how to blend ART technology with a gentler somatic, biodynamic skill set, enabling more than 100 women to conceive

  • I collaborate with fertility doctors, OB/GYN doctors and high-risk doctors

  • My therapeutic approaches complement the practices of these other professionals

  • I have studied with the preeminent leaders in the field of prenatal and perinatal psychology

  • I have observed and navigated the unique nuances that the in vitro babies and children embody

Conscious Parenting

Conscious Parenting (CP) is the gateway to healthier family dynamics. It asks parents to become more self-aware; being mindful of their own personal growth and emotional regulation. Practicing this type of conscious behavior cultivates an environment that is stress-free and judgment-free, empowering a child to more easily express values, goals, ambitions, sexuality and concerns.

Inherent in CP are three basic skill sets:

  • Safety, feeling secure

  • Connection, relationship dynamics, communication

  • Problem-solving

Generational parenting styles can be limiting, dysfunctional and unsafe. When a parent chooses to be self-aware, it becomes possible for them to parent in a different way than how they were parented.

At conception, the prenate and her mother begin their dance.

This is the most crucial relationship of both of their lives. This sacred journey must be safely held and protected for the pregnancy period.

During sessions, I guide both the mother and her child verbally and non-verbally. I support the mother to build the necessary skill sets and resources to examine her personal stories, so as not to impose her traumas onto her children.
